Bon Secours Wellness Arena

Bon Secours Wellness Arena (formerly the Bi-Lo Center) is a 15,000-seat multi-purpose facility. It was recently renovated, including updates to the suites, concourses, lighting, video systems, and sound systems.  The arena is the home of the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL, but it is also used for concerts, various traveling acts, basketball, and hockey.

AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:

  • Sound reinforcement system design
  • On-site system commissioning, including operator training and assistance during the first use

Project Highlights:

AVANT ACOUSTICS designed and commissioned a state-of-the-art sound reinforcement system to provide high speech intelligibility and musical impact for the various events that occur at this truly multipurpose venue.  The distributed Bose RoomMatch arrays provide direct coverage to the premium hockey seating right behind the glass, a primary concern for the facility and resident team.  Many different room configurations are supported using delay presets programmed into the system during commissioning and recalled through an easy-to-use system monitoring and control touchscreen interface created by AVANT ACOUSTICS.

Von Braun Center Concert Hall

The renovation of the 2,000-seat Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center included a new entrance lobby, a new sound system, and upgrades to interior materials and mechanical equipment.

AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:

  • Room acoustics consultation for the auditorium and lobby area
  • Mechanical noise control analysis and recommendations
  • Sound reinforcement system design
  • On-site system commissioning, including operator training and assistance during the first use

Project Highlights:

AVANT ACOUSTICS carefully crafted the design of the new loudspeaker cluster around the existing perforated opening in the proscenium, creating even coverage, yet maintaining the aesthetics of the space.

The front end of the sound system is a digital mixing console that utilizes a digital audio snake to transport audio from the stage to the sound booth in the seats.  This configuration minimized the installation impact of the new system on the existing space and allows for flexible routing and patching for the end user.

KI Convention Center

Green Bay’s KI Convention Center boasts nearly 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including over 35,000 square feet of exhibit space and customizable breakout rooms, which can seat 15 to 18,000 people.

AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:

  • Room acoustics consultation
  • Sound reinforcement system design
  • Architectural and mechanical/electrical noise control

Project Highlights:

The sound reinforcement system allows each of the ballrooms and meeting rooms to operate independently or combined with each other.  The pre-function and lobby areas can also be independent or combined with adjacent spaces.  The configuration of the system is controlled with from a touchpanel with a custom user interface designed by AVANT ACOUSTICS.

In addition, AVANT provided recommendations on design considerations to ensure proper acoustical characteristics and noise reduction between spaces.
