Junction City High School recently updated the sound reinforcement and audio-visual systems for their varsity gymnasium and football stadium.
AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:
Project Highlights:
AVANT ACOUSTICS developed several options for loudspeaker locations for the football stadium, eventually deciding with the school on a design that covered both the home and visitor stands. A portable loudspeaker system complete with 14 wireless microphones was also designed to supplement the installed system during commencement ceremonies and other district events.
The gymnasium systems included the addition of two 243-inch diagonal projection screens with high-definition projectors in a protective steel cage, and a new loudspeaker distribution system, complete with sub-bass loudspeakers, for high-impact music playback and intelligible sports announcements.

Kickapoo High School, located in Springfield, Missouri, recently converted an open-air courtyard into a student commons area. The larger space allowed the school to add interactive collaboration stations and audio-visual presentation capabilities for enhanced student learning.
AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:
Project Highlights:
The audio-visual system in the commons area includes a 20-foot diagonal video image projected onto a special paint treatment on one of the walls. The projector can be fed from several video inputs around the room, or wirelessly over the school’s wireless network.
There are four smaller collaboration stations along the periphery of the room. Each of these collaboration stations has a 70-inch diagonal touchscreen display with a built-in computer. These stations all include wireless presentation capabilities.
The sound system in the commons area has automatically mixed microphone inputs and a portable digital mixing console that can be connected at multiple locations. The system is controlled by a wireless touchpanel with a user-friendly interface designed by AVANT.

The Heber Springs School District’s new performing arts building sits adjacent to their high school, and includes an auditorium, black box theatre, and band room.
AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:
Project Highlights:
On this project, the large auditorium needed to support a variety of use cases on a very limited budget. AVANT ACOUSTICS designed a unique, low-cost loudspeaker solution to coordinate with the motorized lighting system using an expanded cluster of loudspeakers with additional satellite loudspeakers covering the rear seats.
The audio-visual system includes a 271-inch diagonal projection screen, as well as a 55-inch flat panel display at the rear of the room as a confidence monitor for presenters. The system is capable of audio and video recording, and has a permanently mounted stereo recording microphone with a pan-tilt-zoom camera mounted in the rear of the room.
The system is controlled via an intuitive, easy-to-use touchpanel interface designed by AVANT ACOUSTICS.
